Joining London South East Academies Trust (LSEAT)
We are excited to share that the Federation of Manor Mead and Walton Leigh Schools will be joining London South East Academies Trust in January 2026.
LSEAT is a strong and growing network of schools across London and the South East, providing high-quality education for children and young people from 3-19. The Trust has a particular strength in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), with a proven track record of supporting pupils with a wide range of complex needs to achieve their potential.
By joining LSEAT, we will become part of a wider family of schools, enabling us to share our expertise while also benefitting from the experience, resources and opportunities available across the Trust. This partnership will help us continue to build on our strengths, further enrich our curriculum and create even more opportunities for our pupils to thrive.
Importantly, the ethos and values that define Manor Mead and Walton Leigh will remain at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated staff teams will continue to provide the very best teaching, care and support for your children – but with the added benefit of being part of a larger organisation that shares our commitment to inclusive, high-quality education.
March 2025 update
The Federated Governing Body made the decision in March 2025 that Manor Mead and Walton Leigh schools will apply to transfer to academy status and join the London South East Academies Trust (LSEAT) during the 2025-2026 academic year. Please see attached letter for more information.
April 2024 announcement
As an Associate Member of LSEAT, the Federation will have the opportunity to explore in detail the potential benefits of being part of their organisation. This will include considering the range of central services that they provide such as HR and Finance as well as enabling us to look at shared CPD and curriculum development opportunities etc. There is no commitment for Manor Mead and Walton Leigh to formally join LSEAT as Academies at this stage but this is something that may happen in the future if this would be of benefit to the pupils and staff.
