The Friends of Manor Mead (FOMM)
FOMM is a charitable organisation made up of parents and staff.
All parents/carers automatically become members of FOMM when their child starts at Manor Mead. The aim of FOMM is to help to enhance the learning of the pupils at Manor Mead by raising funds to provide the school with much needed resources that it cannot obtain with the LA allocated budget.
Currently, the FOMM Committee members are:

The FOMM Committee meets termly to discuss and plan future events and, most importantly, to decide how to spend the monies raised! We are always looking for new members and would very much welcome interest from any parents/carers who would like to join the Committee.
FOMM arranges various events throughout the school year as a way to raise money and also to get parents/carers together. Events have included:
- Autumn Bazaar
- Christmas Raffle
- Annual Quiz
- Christmas Shopping and Pamper Evening
- BBQ and Band Night
- Family Picnic, including the ever-popular Singing Hands
The funds raised by FOMM are vital to the school and are used in numerous ways that beneficially impact the children. Examples include:
- Contribution to a new school minibus
- paying the ongoing maintenance costs of the school’s minibuses
- providing special events for the children, such as concerts and outings
- providing additional specialist equipment for the school, such as vibrating cushions, iPads, sensory toys and books
- paying for the upkeep and maintenance of all the bicycles used by the children in school
- funding major projects, which have included break-out areas, improving class accommodation and developing the outside areas.
Our current project is the refurbishment of the sensory garden which will be beneficial to all of our children in school.
As well as raising funds for the school, parents have an opportunity to meet through events organised by FOMM, such as the annual Family Picnic. All upcoming FOMM events are advertised in the School Newsletter and on the website.
Individuals can donate directly via our Just Giving page by clicking here. This can also be used to set up a sponsorship page if you would like to do an event (e.g., a run, skydive, swim, walk…) to raise funds for school.
