The FOMM Committee meets termly to discuss and plan future events and, most importantly, to decide how to spend the monies raised! We are always looking for new members and would very much welcome interest from any parents/carers who would like to join the Committee.
FOMM arranges various events throughout the school year as a way to raise money and also to get parents/carers together. FOMM also take part in the community run events (Big Tree Night & Shepperton Village Fair). Events have included:
- Autumn Bazaar
- Christmas Raffle
- Big Tree Night
- Annual Quiz
- Christmas Shopping and Pamper Evening
- Shepeprton Village Fair
- BBQ and Band Night
- Family Picnic
The funds raised by FOMM are vital to the school and are used in numerous ways that beneficially impact the children. Examples include:
- Contribution to a new school minibus
- paying the ongoing maintenance costs of the school’s minibuses
- providing special events for the children, such as concerts and outings
- providing additional specialist equipment for the school, such as vibrating cushions, iPads, sensory toys and books
- paying for the upkeep and maintenance of all the bicycles used by the children in school
- funding major projects, which have included break-out areas, improving class accommodation and developing the outside areas.
As well as raising funds for the school, parents have an opportunity to meet through events organised by FOMM, such as the annual Family Picnic. All upcoming FOMM events are advertised in the School Newsletter and on the website.
Individuals can donate directly via our Just Giving page by clicking here. This can also be used to set up a sponsorship page if you would like to do an event (e.g., a run, skydive, swim, walk…) to raise funds for school.
Fundraising news
In October 2024, Sophie Jones from Manor Mead Shepperton will be walking a distance of 140 miles from Gloucester to Manor Mead Shepperton to raise money for the school. The children will have the opportunity to choose what the money will be spent on.
